Shabu-Shabu place: 샤브향 (Shyabeu Hyang)

The winter is starting to roll in, which means Koreans wearing poofy jackets, foreign teachers sitting aimlessly in cold offices, skiing (my favorite), and also the PERFECT WEATHER FOR HOT POT!

*cue the “ta-da” chime with some clapping*

My current favorite place for Shabu-Shabu in Jecheon is Shyabeu Hyang. It’s located on the north part of town. They’re great because they give a great selection of mushrooms and veggies to go into your hotpot! The flavor is also reliably good. Another bonus: They have chair seating, which is great for us who aren’t used to sitting on floors all the time (or just prefer not to)

Plenty of veggies!

So many mushrooms!

If you feel cold and dead inside, try warming up with some Shabu-shabu this winter!

It’s located on the far side of town in Jangrak-dong. The address is: 충북 제천시 죽하로 83

Keep on forking!
